We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Vicki L. Otaruyina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Vicki, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As the Founder & CEO of Divine Purpose Publishing, my vision for starting this business was deeply rooted in the recognition of my God-given talents and the desire to serve others in their journey to birth the books and magazines God has placed in them in them through sharing their stories with the world. With years of experience as an author, coach, and marketer, I understood the transformative power of the written word and the profound impact it can have on both the writer and the reader.

The inception of Divine Purpose Publishing was a natural progression of my mission to empower individuals to express their divine purpose. And I do this through the coaching, publishing and effective marketing strategy services which I offer. I realized that many potential authors harbored incredible insights and testimonies within them, yet they often lacked the guidance and support to bring their babies (books and magazines inside of them) to fruition. My goal was to bridge that gap, of course, using my expertise to assist them in navigating the complexities of the publishing process.

I have been able to offer a holistic approach to publishing. This includes not just the creation of books and magazines, but also the spiritual aspect of making sure you birth in obedience what God has placed in you, coupled with the marketing and promotional strategies necessary to ensure these works get completed and also reach and impact the lives of their intended audiences. My business is built on the foundation of helping others to elevate their essence and empower their purpose, and Divine Purpose Publishing is a manifestation of that commitment.

By aligning my skills as a minister and also in writing, coaching, and marketing I’ve created a platform where aspiring authors can confidently transform their ideas into published works that resonate with readers and contribute to their legacy. It’s not just about publishing books and magazines; it’s about nurturing the seeds of potential within each individual and watching them grow into something extraordinary.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As an Elevation Coach, my work is centered around empowering individuals—particularly women, ministers and business owners—to discover and live out their divine purpose as a means of reaching peak potential. This involves taking them through a S.O.A.R process to overcome the hindrances to peak potential.

What sets me apart is the ability which God has given to see limitless impossibilities in the lives of people based on who they are called to be and the story, experiences, gifts, abilities, talents, messages and more that God has given to them. I have also been able to create a unique offering by meshing my purpose coaching experience, and marketing expertise.

I am most proud, thanks be to God, of the lives that have been transformed through my coaching and the authors who have successfully published their stories, finding their voice and audience through Divine Purpose Publishing.

My journey to where I am today was by no means easy. It required perseverance, faith, and an unwavering commitment to my vision. The lessons I’ve learned are manifold, but one of the most crucial is the importance of authenticity and resilience, and…the need to be who God has uniquely called you to be without all apology and with totally obedience to His perfect will.

I want the world to know that my brand and story are about more than just business success; they are about inspiring and equipping people to elevate to peak potential in every area of their lives, creating a legacy of positive impact and helping others to do the same.

Through Divine Purpose Publishing and my coaching services, I strive to be a strong catalyst for transformation, encouraging everyone to pursue their passions and make a meaningful difference in the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would honestly take them to the beach. That’s where I hear God the most as I sit and watch the waves.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A lot of what I do is first and foremost made possible to God almighty. I also want to shout out Coach Crisha Bowen from Trinidad who worked with me in helping me map by purpose in ministry and business. There are also toooo many ministers that have either prayed or prophesied to me over the years but I want to specially thank and honor my husband Prophet Solomon Otaruyina James who continue to teach, inspire, coach and motivate me in ministry, business and all other areas of my life.
