Hi Dr. Lydia, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is perseverance. You have to possess that true passion that pushes you forward when you have nothing left to give. Those days when engagement is low and customers are no where to be found, I find myself in a place of reflection. It is easy to be discouraged in those low moments but, when I look back over all the strides I have made in this short period of time, I am more than encouraged to keep going. If I continue to bet on myself, I will continue to win big. Seeing my success, others can’t help but bet on me too!

I go by Dr. M. I am a black female Doctor and creative who is licensed to practice in 3 states and committed to supporting the culture worldwide. I have combined my passions for science and the arts into a project that has become part of my legacy–Thirst T Trapp LLC.

Thirst T Trapp was founded in 2020 to house luxury brands for our culture and our community. Thirst T Trapp is a house brand built on three pillars of fashion, food, and of course, the juice! We focus on incorporating chemistry with culinary and digital art to bring you our house brand of luxury goods and services.

Chem Lab Lemonade Stand can be found at your local festivals and events serving ice cold goodness! Our refreshing lemonade is spiked with top shelf alcohol. Our dream is to one day have free standing Thirst T Trapp houses throughout the US and internationally where our Trapp Family can come together to celebrate the culture of fashion while enjoying great eats and refreshing lemonade. It feels like a never ending summer! Are you feeling it?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this question! I have recently launched my travel and event business, What A Trip Travel and Event Co, and am obsessed with finding all the best each city has to offer! I love the aquarium, and the Coca Cola factory is also a fun thing to do on the fly. The museums are worth multiple visits–you will want to take it all in. The botanical gardens are lovely in the spring or fall time when it’s not too hot out. I love grabbing food, drinks, and hookah at Escobar. One Music Fest is something you have just got to experience. I have many more offerings but, you will have to book me for my top secret favorite spots!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give this shout out to my village of beloved family and friends turned family. Thank you for never taking no for an answer and encouraging me to be my full self. Because of you, I can.
