We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Joy Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Joy, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
I think one of the craziest parts of running a alcohol beverage company is that you have to go to the police station to get local licensing. You also have to deal with the alcohol tobacco and firearms agents .
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Edwards Beverage Co. apart is not just their product but how they choose to engage with their audience. Through platforms like Instagram (@divadoctor01, @serejouir.cellars, and @edwardsbeveragecompany) and their website, www.serejouir.com along with a collaboration with Bonzeye Pros to put out a EP called to called music to sip to volume 1. they weave narratives that resonate with modern consumers—those who value authenticity, sustainability, and quality above all else. It’s not just about selling a product; it’s about inviting customers into a lifestyle that champions eco-conscious choices without sacrificing luxury
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first we’d hit up UMI for the bomb environment and sushi. I’d also go to painted pin to bowl eat and vibe out to live music. Then i would hit up Se R’ ejouir Cellars for a champagne tasting.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My son Wes Lee The Wordsmith has been one of my greatest supporters. He is my son and my business partner. Always my strategist and voice of reason. I also last but not least I want to give a huge shout out to my brand partner Ponzo Houdini who continually pushes our brand to the next level.
