We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Crystal Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Crystal, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thoughts behind starting this business were that I wanted to be one of the reasons why people began trusting healthcare, healthcare professionals, customer service and personal patient oriented care again. I feel like the world has lost its faith in the healthcare system and I wanted to put that trust back into the world. Therefore, I began this healthcare business to do just that! Show people that there are still people in the healthcare system that want the best for them and their long term health goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Throughout my career as a public health professional, I have had many opportunities to work with low-income and rural communities, minorities and veterans through my career and volunteer work. As I continued to work with these at-risk groups, I was motivated to create better health outcomes and opportunities for these individuals which motivated me to open Seek2Find Home Care Services LLC. While being in the military, being a mom, and still working as a Chronic Disease Evaluator, I found the time and motivation to still create a business that puts healthcare first, people first, families first. Through Seek2Find Home Care Services, I have been able to provide disabled veterans, disabled elderly individuals, disabled children and disabled adults with in-home or facility care they can trust with their health no matter the age, disability, ethnicity or race, Seek2Find Home Care takes initiatives to provide the utmost customer service, personal care and communication to all patients and family members without having to carry the burden of chronic illnesses alone. Seek2Find Home Care Services specializes in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, Parkinson’s care, Companion care, Respite care, Surgery care, Personal care, Transitional care, Chronic Disease care, Veteran assistance, End-of-life support care, private duty care, Hospice care, and Disabled Child and Adult care. Seek2Find Home Care Services focuses on caring for seniors, children and individuals in need of a little extra help.

We don’t take from the client’s independency but complement it, offering to assist in their everyday needs. Each client is offered fitted home care services, whether it’s companionship or care for individuals that need more detailed assistance due to genetic disorders such as but not limited to Down syndrome, Cystic fibrosis, Huntington’s disease, Tay-Sachs disease or a chronic disease such as Dementia, Alzheimers, Diabetes, and other chronic illnesses. No matter the condition, we are here to put customer care, communication and personal care as a priority for the individual and the family members. We are here to comfort and assist, making it easier for the individual and the family members. No individual or family has to do this alone, Seek2Find is here to do it with them. We know that many believe healthcare professionals do not put healthcare first, but here at Seek2Find, healthcare for the individual is what matters most to us, and we continue to thrive in showing people healthcare is still an important part of life through in-home care.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I’d take them to Midtown and The Beltline. Both areas have amazing restaurants with amazing food! I’ve been so many places in both areas where the ambience was welcoming, the customer service was top tier and the food was beyond delicious! One of the places I’ve had the opportunity to visit recently was High Museum of Art. The environment was beautiful, and not just because of the art. The night I went, they had a live jazz band playing and the music was impeccable. That beautiful music along with the beautiful scenery of art went together amazingly! The Beltline is beautiful and it’s not just because of where it is, but because of the people you see there. They are themselves, they love everyone and they stand for everything. They perform, they display artwork on buildings such as meaningful graffiti that is there legally, and they even have petitions that people can sign to help make the city a better place! The funnest part is the electric scooters that you and your friends can ride up and down the entire Beltline or you can even go for a run or rollerblade. The urban feel and views are so relaxing and peaceful. Speaking of views, Atlanta has many rooftops where you can see the entire city, the greenery with a beautiful sunset make for a perfect evening!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout all of my home health aides, my nurses, my medical assistants, my family, my clients, my digital creator Del McKenzie, Danielle Watts and her team Abundance of Solutions, and my Director of Administration Kamilah DeBoest. Without this team, without these people, my business wouldn’t be where it is today. These are the people who have been and still are the backbone of this organization. They keep it going and provide the best service and care possible to our clients! Our clients allow room for growth in this company and provide excellent feedback where we can continue to learn and advance our initiative to provide the best care possible!
