We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Courtney P. Hendrix and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Courtney P., is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite affirmation is, “Nobody can beat YOU being YOU but YOU…” What this means is, that you may often be imitated BUT you can never be duplicated. There is nobody anywhere that can be you better than you can be yourself. There is something deep down inside of you that only you possess; that only you hold the key to; that only you have to offer the world. Each individual is fearfully and wonderfully created. Your individual unique fingerprint is yours and yours alone, so whatever you touch there is no one else in the world that can add “that touch” but you. There is a purpose and assignment that you have been chosen for and in order to complete the assignment you MUST ALWAYS show up as your AUTHENTIC self. As you rise to the occasion, the only competition you face is within you. You must foster and cultivate that which is on the inside of you to continue to show up daily better than the person you were the day before. Nobody, anywhere, any place, anytime, or any day can beat YOU being YOU but YOU… You owe it to YOU to be the absolute best YOU that YOU can be…

What should our readers know about your business?
The PropelHER Brand is focused on Healing Everything and Restoring. We offer the opportunity for you to be Intentionally Strategic about your Healing (mind, body, spirit, and soul). We do this through a variety of services such as therapeutic sessions, life coaching, interactive education and training. My purpose is to assist you in giving birth to your healing, that you may be made whole, effectively, efficiently, sufficiently, lacking nothing and fulfilled as you thrive in life living out your purpose.

What sets us apart from others is that the focus is placed on serving others with no selfish gain of our own. The people that we serve are truly our number one priority. I am most proud of the fact that we have been graced to serve the world in this area at our fullest capacity and we do so with unwavering commitment, compassion, and unconditional love for everyone who enters our doors.

The journey of getting to where I am today was believing in myself and the purpose for my life. It has not been easy. There will come a time where you want to give up and give in, but be reminded that your purpose will sometimes call for you to walk the journey out alone. There will come a time where you will feel like you have given everything, sacrificed everything, supported everyone and then you look up and there is no one there to support you, to root you on, to encourage you on the journey. It is in that moment where I want you to be reminded that, “in your greatest place of isolation is where you receive your greatest revelation..” sometimes you HAVE to travel the journey alone; be okay with that. No one will believe in your dreams and aspirations as much as you will. Continue to forge forward no matter what may come; this is the only way you will ever be able to overcome challenges. You must believe in yourself.

Along the way I’ve learned that I can do anything… LITERALLY
There is more than one way to skin a cat. I may not do it the way that others do it but that’s what makes me different; that’s what makes me unique, I do things my way

I want the world to know that you will never find another brand like the PropelHER Brand, like the Courtney P. Hendrix Brand.
I was created for a time such as this… it’s the heart posture of this brand and my story that will live on for eternity. The legacy of my story is that, “I become ALL things to ALL people…” I have walked the hardest journeys , I have seen the lowest valleys, I was sunken into the darkest holes, and have been broken into a million pieces. Because of this, my heart resonates with the people I serve. I understand first hand what it takes to become whole again, not just because of my degrees and educational background, but because I am apart of the people I serve.

I am here to assist you with becoming Intentional about your healing; it is time to give birth to your healing and find your purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
OMG!!! A week in the ATL Let’s gooooooo! We would definitely visit the Aquarium (I’m such a water and fish person; I’m a Pisces)! Piedmont Park has some of the most beautiful exhibitions and the ferris wheel at Centennial Park is an added bonus. The Martin King Center, Atlanta University Center (ALL of the HBCUs) and I can’t leave out the Trap Music Museum (I’m originally from Chicago so I have a little hood side to me lol)! Live music and entertainment are always my go-to’s for nightlife St. James Live for live music and Apache for a Spoken Word Experience. I love a bargain so my favorite place to shop is Tanger Outlet and the Sweet Auburn Fest. There is no way that you can visit ATL and not eat at Old Lady Gang for soul food (you’ll also have the opportunity to meet one of ATL’s Superstars – Kandi from Xscape and Real House Wives of Atlanta), Atlanta Fish Market for seafood, Hattie Marie’s for the BIGGEST Dino Rib you have ever seen in your life, and for a sweet tooth Candytopia… and no one leaves ATL without visiting the Coca Cola Factory, that’s an experience you will never forget.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I won’t shout out any names because I don’t want to forget anyone… but what I will say is, thank you to everyone who has been apart of my village. Thank you to everyone who has made a contribution great or small, I’m grateful for them ALL. Thank you to ALL of my clients because if there was no one to serve my purpose would be forfeited. Thank you to my leaders, mentors, family, friends, children, ministry and community. Thank you to everyone who has crossed my path and allowed me the opportunity to birth you into your HEALING…
