We had the good fortune of connecting with Doni Raye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Doni, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started Angel Eyes Luxe Lashes because I wanted to created a lash line for women who wanted to enhance their natural lashes in a way that accentuates their eyes without being overwhelmed with it being super thick and incredibly long.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets my work apart from others is the intention behind the work. My goal is always to accentuate someone’s beauty never to exaggerate. I’m not here to change you through makeup. I’m here to show you what’s already there. My hope is that through the glam session transformation you will start to embrace your beauty, as I am only painting what I see within you.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I had this amazing mentor once, she taught me so much about me in a time when I wasn’t ready to see. She told me that this was who I could be if I put my mind to it and keep moving forward. I’m grateful for her and what she instilled in me. It’s what carries me forward, most days. She told me years ago to start a lash line, but I was too timid to do so. Now, it’s time.
