We had the good fortune of connecting with Donavan Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donavan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
That’s a great question. I feel like taking risks has made a big impact in jump starting my career by going against the industry standard and doing what felt normal to me. Sometimes the biggest risk is betting on yourself. Risk is what makes the process fun . You’re going to take some losses but from those losses you find lessons to ensure they don’t happen again. And then .. you celebrate your wins . The main thing is the bigger the risk the bigger the reward and I want the biggest rewards.

What should our readers know about your business?
At RoofsByDon we specialize in premium quality materials on and off the roof. What separates us from others is our approach to roofing. I feel like we’re attacking roofing from all angles as well as getting our customers involved in our culture.
I got here by trusting my gut instinct and always knowing where I wanted to be and putting a plan of action in place for it. I wanted to be in control of the quality of my builds and my business.
I’ve learned that nothing is too difficult if you put your mind to it. Just because someone else can’t do it, doesn’t mean you can’t. My story isn’t finished

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
