We had the good fortune of connecting with Donavan Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donavan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting Oneye was to create to inspire. Leaving an impact, whether big or small, through immersive visual content. Helping business owners and creatives bring their vision to life. Along with producing original content (short films, mini series, etc.). And with film/photography being a true passion of mine, it just made sense to start a business in that industry.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Oneye Productions is a full house film production company from pre-post production. We specialize in content creation, visual storytelling, and editing. Im most proud of the relationships we’ve built and how opportunities have come full circle from doing good business and being good people. Building to this point was far from easy and I don’t take any win or loss for granted. Overcoming the challenges came down to my mindset and how I chose to look at a situation. Time management, consistency, and sustainability are some lessons I’ve learned along the way. Through film I plan to impact the world along with independent filmmakers by effecting “one soul, one mind, oneye” at a time. Its just the beginning

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Mon- Infamous Magic City Mondays Tues- Hit the MLK Museum, the Aquarium/ cite see Wed- walk Little Five Points/ Ponce then eat at slutty vegan Thurs- Breakfast at Thumbs Up then go shop at Lenox Mall Fri- Go to Juicy Crab for lunch then go out for drinks Sat- Brunch at Oak then Buckhead/ T&G Sun- Hit a falcons game then go to Buckhead Saloon The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dedicate this shoutout to my family and friends that have supported me from the beginning. Also all of the businesses and individuals that believed in me enough to give me an opportunity (they know who they are)
