We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Reedy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always strive to be different. So once I notice there wasn’t many pet groomers like me I decided to turn that passion into a business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My faith in God plays a huge part in where I am today. My journey hasn’t been easy. I have been homeless, alone and at my lowest points at a very young age. However with faith and perseverance I was able to find the art of dog grooming. Now I have a successful dog grooming brand “CutzByNique” working in Atlanta, Georgia.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When you’re in the city of Atlanta it’s a must to visit Piedmont Park with the fur babies just to get some fresh air and view the outdoor scenery. Then to Cirque for some amazing lamb chops and daiquiris. Following that we can catch some entertainment at Traffik with the Sunday Drag shows featuring some of RuPaul Drag Race contestants like Trinity K Bonet. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love recognize the YouTube brand Chasing Reality. I have been blessed to be apart of their amazing #1 LGBT web-series franchise Chasing: Atlanta and thanks to them my talents/personality has been viewed by 1.6million+ viewers.
