We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my business and non-profit, was looking at my gifts and talents and seeing how I could add value and make an impact in the lives of people and the community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My businesses revolve around empowering people and organizations to be their best selves so they can make an impact in the community. It’s really about leadership development that leads to community empowerment. We have gotten to where we are today with taking our time and building a real foundation of service and operating in integrity. We have over come our challenges by staying faithful to the vision and mission and working together as team. We see this as something that will make a difference in peoples lives and families. It is bigger than us, it’s truly transformative. Something I would want people to know about me is that “I am who I am by the grace of God!” Also you’ll win if you don’t quit.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would visit the Sports Hall of Fame and the Tubman Museum. We would do something at Vibes downtown and A Brookehaven. Maybe catch Bonefish and Natalia’s for dinner a couple of nights. To end the week, we would worship at Kingdom Life on Sunday.
