We had the good fortune of connecting with Domanique Burnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Domanique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I started my tax business I was thinking of different ways I can help not only myself but my family as well. Starting a successful business and creating generational wealth. So that down the line my son can have something for his family as well and he will continue the business and create a legacy. That’s was my thought process behind starting my business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Man where do I start?! Honestly, I have not reach my goal of where I want to be business wise. I am still working on my consistency and being more active. When it comes to my business. It’s hard when there are so many other people doing the same thing that your doing but I have learned to over come those things. I plan my week out a head of time. So that I know I set a goal for myself and I have to complete this goal. No matter how lazy I get or how discouraged I’m feeling. Get up create, create, and create. You have to remind yourself even though there might be a thousand people out there doing the same thing as you. That there is only one you. Everyone adds a unique something to there work. So never try to compete or compare yourself to anyone. You got this! We got this!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friends in town were definitely going to check out all the vegan’s spots first. Only because she is vegan and since she’s visiting she gets to pick first. I love going to places I find on TikTok. Even though I live in Georgia there are so many things and so many places that I have never been before. You have to go to brunch when your visiting. In Atlanta you can head over to Breakfast at Barney’s or Lily’s. Those places are really good to go to. Also, you can try the battery at Atlanta.
