We had the good fortune of connecting with DnD Productions and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DnD, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We, Dominique Jones and Donald Strothers, started out as mentees and then became business owners. Keshia Walker at Insight Marketing is our mentor. Watching her plan and execute events, giveaways, tournaments, and parties made us think about starting our own business. Once we determined that we were serious about going from mentees to entrepreneurs we started to learn the business side of the industry. After that, we began networking; building lifelong connections that we can use throughout.
What should our readers know about your business?
DnD Productions is not like any ordinary “production company”. We are versatile in what we provide. We have done things from grand openings, parties, weddings, concerts, kids birthday parties, family reunions, tournaments, dances, etc. Any vision you have we help execute it; turn your dreams into reality.
What sets us apart is we strive to help our community. We want people to know that DnD Productions is a genuine company that works within our own community.
The journey was definitely not easy. Nothing good comes easy. However, with hard work, consistency, and the willingness to learn we were able to overcome. After a year of starting the business, we have already done two events with the mayor right in the same city that one of our CEO Donald Strothers grew up in
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
With our great connections all over the city, we will have a great time. We would start off by visiting our good friend Ayman Kamel at his restaurant, 5 Church, in either Midtown or Buckhead for great food and drinks. Next, we would go visit our good friend Tory, the owner of Suite Lounge, where the party never ends.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
