We had the good fortune of connecting with DJ LeakDaFreak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DJ, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When me and my business partner first start we were doing it as a hobby but we gained a lot of attention so it slowly turned into a business so my thought process was how do we monetize what we love doing? Then our business started soon after

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that i feel like i was made for this. all my life I have been around music and even did marching band in high school. Being a DJ almost feels like it’s supposed to be my destiny so i strive to become better everyday! It definitely wasn’t easy cause it was easy , everyone would do it right? The lessons i learned along the way that in this life we are all destined for something & we all have a talent we just have to unlock it within. I want the world to know that my brand will soon be nationwide and we will not stop till we make it to the top , i got a story that’s bigger than me to tell

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In my area we got a few different things to do. During the week you can head to Sharkeys which is a really good restaurant in the area , wings are 10/10 so we definitely would have to go there. Then after that we would have to go check out Claytor Lake maybe go get in a Jetski or speedboat. As far as nightlife goes you can Either go to a frat party or come party with my team , we host a lot of events every weekend to keep everyone entertained and enjoying the weekend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to God for showing me the way. I would also like to give a Shoutout to my Bestfriend Trey Pressley for helping us create a vision and starting this business with me! Then i want to give a shoutout to my mama, my grandma, my manager Keenma Jones and my rider Jade and my team back in VA who helped me and always stayed 10 toes down, the members of Savage Entertainment of course ! I love y’all
