Meet Divya Vaswani | Owner/Creator | Divya Vaswani Interiors

We had the good fortune of connecting with Divya Vaswani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Divya, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind Divya Vaswani interiors is support. I have endless support from my husband, family, and friends. They are the ones that drive my business, refer to friends, and have pushed me from day one to follow a passion that began as a hobby. They believe in my work and every little “share”, “like”, and comment means the world to me.

What should our readers know about your business?
Unlike many designers who fit clients’ asks into their own design styles, I spend time with clients on the front-end of a new project in an effort to better understand their needs. I can blueprint a cohesive vision and outline an approach that will deliver a design that reflects the clients’ style. My ability to think outside the box, and my attention to even the subtlest of details, allows me to transform plain and simple spaces into inviting, warm, and elegant rooms.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has soooo many amazing spots to check out! I live in the suburbs but try to make it a point to visit areas all around town. From Halcyon in Milton, to Avalon in Alpharetta, all the way to The Beltline for a food and beverage tour. I frequent Rumi’s Kitchen in Sandy Springs, and am a big fan walking around downtown Alpharetta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A lot of my inspiration comes from homes I grew up in. My parents were big fans of contemporary furniture and would make their way down to Miami to pick out unique pieces for our home, From platform beds with lighting, to a smoked black glass dining table with black and white polka dot swivel chairs – we always had unique pieces at home. When we moved to Charlotte, NC when I was in high school, my interest in interior design began. I purchased a piece of art when in India over the summer and I used that as an inspiration for my bedroom. I never thought painting my first accent wall (so many errors!) would be the start to a hobby which eventually led me to my career.
