We had the good fortune of connecting with Dionne Holley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dionne, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity! My brand is ME and that’s what I want my clients, potential clients and the WORLD to invest in! It shouldn’t take “altering” your personality to gain an audience/crowd to buy into you. Be your true self so that those investing are getting their monies worth! It’s only right!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Pro Makeup Artist of 15 years, Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Licensed Esthetic Instructor. My main goal: Helping men and women feel good about themselves from the inside out! It definitely has not been easy. I moved to Atlanta, GA. 6 years ago and the transition from out of state to what I consider to be the esthetic CAPITAL here was very challenging in the beginning. Having to start over can be tough, but it was definitely worth it! I have an amazing support system that has been there for me through my entire journey. They are the ones who really know me and that I can talk to when it gets tough for me. After Im fueled back up Im ready to get back out there! lol! I’ve learned that life is about experiences; Good and Bad! And as long as we’re learning from these experiences time is never wasted.

I am my brand and I hope that everyone that experiences me leaves feeling better than they did before.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Im a self care girl!! I love a spa day/ outing with my friends when they come in town! I love JeJu Spa and Feet Retreat, those 2 are my top faves! I love seafood so Pappadeaux (if whomever is visiting hasn’t been there) is a great spot my friends typically love. The battery is great hangout/outdoor spot here in Atlanta or a girls night in with food, drinks and just catching up. I love to host!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to MYSELF. I believe we have gotten into a habit as a whole of thanking, dedicating and giving credit to everyone but ourselves. By doing this, we negate the work we’ve put in. Not just the work the world sees, but more importantly, the private work that we put in. It takes a lot to show up everyday for others; if you don’t first learn to show up for yourself. This is something I personally haven’t always done. No one outside of ME can get in my way but Me…..whether in my professional or personal life. Everything begins and ends with ME!
