We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Townsel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Losing my mother to female reproductive issues that developed while under a traditional doctor’s care is what promoted me to start my business. My mission is to improve feminine mental health and prevent infectious disease through yoni steam education. This is a personal mission for me that I share with my clients young and old. My vision is to heal 1000 black women. I have provided services to over 500 women and teens. Getting to the “root cause” includes education, self-care conditioning and yoni steaming. As the womb heals, it becomes sacred. A sacred womb develops into a healthy and vibrant reproductive system free of toxins, infections and diseases that cause death.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

The She Spot Ohio was launched in Pickerington Ohio in December of 2018 to provide consultations and Yoni Steams for women and teens aged 13-68. I educate women and teens on how to practice self care and how detoxing can rid our bodies of harmful toxins and inflammation that can lead to illness and death. With wellness being a focus due to COVID -19; I expanded my services to Atlanta Georgia, March 2022! I’m also the Director of The She Spot Academy which was launched January 2020 and provides an 8 hour training class that graduates Certified Yoni Steam Facilitators with a Basic Herbalist Certification. Completion of the training creates ownership opportunities for graduates to run their own Yoni Steam business. Graduates earn income while healing other black women within their community. We have graduated 22 women!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being new to Atlanta, I am still learning how to maneuver around town myself. I am taking time to experience the culture and the community. I would say my friend and I would spend time sight seeing and stopping by some of the cities many hot food spots like the Wing and Waffel Factory in Henry County. I love Sandy Springs and the Piedmont Mall and Park area. The Chattanooga River Way is a great place to visit as well as taking in an Atlanta Hawkes Basketball game. A full wellness day complete with massage, pedicure, manicure, yoga, yoni steam.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

My Mother Martha Burnett. She was a strong, vibrant and smart black woman who is no longer with me. Her medical issues and my frustration with traditional medicine
