We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devon, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m originally from Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Birmingham, Alabama closer towards the Hoover/Pelham area. Although we were raised by a single mother, my brother and I grew up in a close knit family oriented environment. We’ve always been shown more love than we needed, and because of the massive support from friends and family- this allowed my mother to build a rather successful career in the military over the years to provide for her family. Lack of better words- we were absolutely brought up with a silver spoon. This isn’t something I avoid mentioning because not everyone is blessed enough to say that. I only hope to do the same or even more for my children.

Seeing my mother go through so many years in the military, having to move around from state to state, making new friends and having to start over so many times- these were the moments that allowed myself to grow and adapt. Although we hated having to start over, I believe this is what impacted me most growing up. Living outside my comfort zone and having to adapt to our new environments.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m co owner to a real estate consulting firm where we offer consulting towards real estate investments, which include; buying real estate to live in, selling real estate for profit, locating buy & holds, locating buy & flips. What sets us apart from others is we provide a hands approach when it comes to flipping real estate by simply flipping the house with you. So opposed to only providing sought after information, we also allow the investor to truly get an understanding of how the flip process works by going through the flip process with you.

I’m most proud of being able to educate others on strategies the rich and wealthy have been utilising for years. We’re conditioned to learn certain information to keep us in the working class. What we provide allows others to begin thinking outside the box and building towards a wealthy lifestyle, if done properly.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the guidance from my mentor Justin Giles. I was one of those people that thought I could learn everything without help, but as I transitioned into the real estate industry- I soon learned doing it by yourself only limits your success. This was not an easy process early on, but as I continued learning the strategy and failing many times- eventually it became an easy process for us. I reiterate the concept of failure. We overcame challenges by accepting the idea of failing. Once we became comfortable enough understanding there’s a likelihood of things not working out the way we planned, things began falling into place.

We want the world to know you don’t have to be rich or have money to become rich. All it takes is proper education and action. We provide both through our consulting agency! If you’re ever in need of an investment here in the Atlanta, Georgia metro, please keep us in mind!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m personally an Atlanta transplant coming from Birmingham, Alabama only a few years ago. So there’s still a lot I’m learning about the city, However, if friends and family came to visit I’m easily finding a nice lounge to sit back and talk such as house of hookah in midtown Atlanta, or a nice rooftop bar such as 9 mile station. I personally enjoy activities so you may find me walking or riding a bike in Piedmont park, or looking art pieces over at the High Art Museum. Colony square has a lot of nice restaurants and bars. You may even catch me playing putt putt over at Putt Shack or playing a game of clue over at one of many Atlanta Escape Rooms.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to throw a special shoutout to my business partner Dimitra Spilioti. Without her our business would cease to exist. Other honorable mentions would be God above all, my mentor Justin Giles aka TopFundManager via IG, my mother, and of course my friends and family who have supported us since jumpstart. I owe my success to you, and you’ll forever be in my heart!
