We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Granata and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devon, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I find that what clients appreciate most about me is my honesty, education, and focus on effective solutions. Creating a space where I am in complete control of the products and treatments provided allows me a freedom to customize each service to best suit each client. Every person who walks through my door presents a unique history, and safely meeting their goals is my key objective. I strive to match all skin challenges so have made furthering my education a top priority in my career. I am a proud Oncology skincare specialist, certified acne expert, and Skin Classic provider. Sharing my passion and knowledge with others helps to build trust and commitment to better skin health.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business journey was initially inspired by my own problematic skin and struggle with acne. After many attempts with harsh medications and empty promises I took to educating myself on my condition. Being able to educate and assist others in their transformation brings renewed excitement to each day. It feels great to establish relationships and watch clients’ confidence grow with every treatment. Esthetics is an ever changing field with many avenues. After becoming a certified acne expert, I wanted to further expand my skillset. I have taken amazing courses on multicultural skin conditions and am well versed in treating any Fitzpatrick type. Training in Oncology skincare has helped me to treat all types of health challenged skin safely and effectively. I am constantly researching and aim to bring the best quality care and service to every appointment.

Being a new business owner constantly presents unexpected challenges and opportunities to gain new skills. While I am passionate about Esthetics, I also wear the hats of an accountant, website developer, researcher, and scheduler. While it hasn’t always been easy, I am grateful for every obstacle and lesson in my journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Taking mini adventures around the city and exploring our local culture is so much fun! I have recently visited the Southeastern railway museum and enjoyed a great lunch in downtown Duluth. I attended school in Dahlonega at UNG so that is always on my to do list for a mini vacation. Visiting the Consolidated Gold Mines, hiking the trails, and enjoying lunch on the square are musts for any Georgia visitor or resident.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout a moment of appreciation for my family for always supporting my wild ideas and telling me I can. My favorite phrase as a child was “I can’t dood it” and they were always there to remind me “CAN dood it.” Without their love and positive affirmation I would have never taken a risk on myself.
