We had the good fortune of connecting with Dev Shaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dev, how do you think about risk?
Honestly I feel like taking risk is a part of everyday life, especially if you want to be successful in whatever you are pursuing. I took risks for my brand plenty of times, & risks throughout life. I’ve been on the right ends of the stick & sometime the low ends. But every situation gives you a learning experience, it betters you as a person. At the end of the day you can’t be scared to jump, after all it is your life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Everybody perceives art in a different way. I always try to think of new creative ways to come up with art. I’m proud of how long the brand has came . I always go and look back at my old designs and clothing, it pushes me to come up with even better creative designs. Of course everyone won’t like your brand and ideas , but that can’t stop you from creating. It’s always going to be obstacles and challenges through out life, you just push pass them like nothing. I’m excited for our new and upcoming spring/summer collection. We definitely have something nice coming up. Post Modern is more than a brand, it’s a lifestyle.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has a plenty of places to vibe out too. The city itself is nice to admire with all the murals and graffiti everywhere. The city has a broad selection of food places down to soul food to Asian cuisines . Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to my other business partner of course Arreinston Branch, he helps contribute to the brand & is a long time associate & friend. Of course a shoutout to my family, the love and support from them is good enough. Especially my mom , she helps me keep my head on a swivel. Lastly I would like to shoutout my colleague & mentor Torrie Dash , he also has his own business and company (Cloud 9 everything) so of course the knowledge I learn from him is beneficial.
