Meet Deuel Hill | Senior Pastor and Technology Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deuel Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deuel, what do you attribute your success to?
Well, this is a very good question, When it comes to the success of House of Light Ministries, it can all be attributed to God and obedience to His Word, statues, and display of His integrity. When I decided to give my life over to the Lord, it was just that…a total submission to His will and direction for my life and ministry.

My parents raised me to respect God. I can honestly admit that, in my youth, I went to church but wasn’t as committed as I am now. And, as I matured, I realized that the personal relationship I needed with God had to be taken seriously. Therefore, I made some critical decisions in my personal, professional, and spiritual life to be the ambassador for Christ that He required.

Through my faith, I realize now that real relationships built on the integrity of God and His truth is the primary reason for my success and the success of House of Light Ministries.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Networking Specialist, and have been for over 25 years.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Networking and Telecommunications Management, and also My Masters Degree in Telecommunications Management, with specialties in Wireless and Cellular Technology.

I am currently the Senior Pastor at House of Light Ministries, located in Conyers GA, and another location in Greenville, South Carolina We are a non-denominational, bible reading, Christian Church that believes in God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Our broadcast is live via social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter) and streams abroad as well (Africa, United Kingdom, China, and Australia to name a few). We started the ministry online in November 2020 and now meet in person each week on the Lord’s Sabbath (Saturday) and also have a live Question and Answer broadcast on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month where anyone can ask questions concerning the Word of God and receive biblical answers from scripture and documented history. We have been consistently growing in membership (in-person and online) and teaching His word “…in spirit and in truth.”, according to the Holy Scriptures.

It was definitely an ordeal to initiate the vision that the Lord sent as we began the ministry in the midst of the Pandemic but were able to maintain the dedication, diligence, and discipline needed to continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. I am so thankful for the Leadership staff and the cohesiveness provided in the Spirit and are looking to build future leaders from our youth and members that participate.

I am particularly thankful for our Outreach Committee, called S.E.R.V.E. (Sincerity, Equity, Righteousness, Virtue, and Empathy). We continue to look for opportunities within our community to assist those who are in need and also partner with other ministries here (in the US) and abroad.

With any initiative, challenges occur. However, God has truly prepared us for all of these challenges. Since our inception, there have been scoffers and nay-sayers but we hold fast to the scripture contained in the book of John, chapter 15, verses 20-21:

…Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.”

Again, we are truly grateful for all that the Lord has given us and we overcome through Him! As God has blessed this ministry, we use the blessings given to help others in word and in deed.

Overall, we at House of Light Ministries thank God for this opportunity to inform others of His good news and want the Lord God to be glorified in all that we do! Personally, if I would be remembered, I would want to be known for the love I have for people and my genuine concern for their opportunity at salvation through Jesus Christ.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a heartfelt shoutout to my wife who has supported me in my career and spiritual walk with God. Without the blessing that God has given me (in her), I would not be the man that I am today. She has been that ray of Sunshine that brightens a gloomy day, and her smile truly inspires me to be better.

I also would like to shutout and thank all of my close friends over the years who have supported me throughout all of the good and bad times in my life and, most importantly, as a PERSON.
