Hi De’Tysha, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Some habits that helped me succeed in the beauty industry is consistency, identifying my goals, time management and journaling. All of these habits have helped me stay on track and see sight of the bigger picture of what I wanted in life for my career choice.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am originally from Greenwood, SC and moved to Atlanta GA this year. I have been a makeup artist for four years, I specialize in bridal and natural beats for individuals who would like to enhance their beauty. Being a makeup artist on someones special day/special occassion makes every moment more tedious and vital to them. I strive to be the best artist and team player when it comes to those special days and events. I have worked with celebrity clients and enjoy every aspect of makeup from beginning to end. Im excited about the unknown because anything can happen at the blink of an eye that elevates your life. I have learned along the way that you can’t be afraid to put yourself out there in front of people and let them know who you are and what your brand is actually about. I would want the world to know that everyday is a working process, I’m not exactly where I want to be but everyday I am one step closer to my dreams. Having faith as small as a mustard seed has been a component of my life for quite some time and I adhere to those words.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots to visit in Atlanta GA are the Spa’s (Woodhouse Spa, LeHua Spa, Jeju Sauna) and my favorite eating spots is of course pappadeux, BQE and Southern Fire Kitchen.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother deserves a lot of this recognition considering she’s always there when making business decisions, tough decisions and just being a helping hand when I need her most. Also, when getting discouraged I always look back at people who have already made it that I look up to and aspire to be one day which are Bre Nicole, Coach Stormy, Six figure spa chick etc
