We had the good fortune of connecting with Detroit Zeus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Detroit, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Believing in myself 100% and not 99%. I had to fully believe.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is I understand individuality and how important it is. I never wanted to be like anybody else. In Detroit we are so into our grind and know we can get anywhere off the work we put in, never looking for a hand out. My success story is simple, I stayed consistent and worked even the days I didn’t feel like working. When it comes to my sound and music I’m the only one out of my city that has an Rnb soulful feel regardless of the topic or beat, and no one in the midwest is performing like me, from my moves to my style I have when performing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would give them an authentic feel, fresh off the plane we go grab food at Universal Coney Island on grandriver. Go take a walk downtown to enjoy the atmosphere. Then hit a cabaret or 2 and show them real Detroit fun. By Friday we at Rouge park catching the vibes and genuine energy of Detroit. To end it out we hit Royal Oak and vibe and enjoy the nicer things lol.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Myles X Dope started off with me and as he paved his own lane he made sure he extended his hand of opportunities from shows and school tours.

Eric Bellinger for embracing and encouraging me on his #VibesOnVibes Tour which was my 1st national tour of 30 cities around the USA.
