We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Saucedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I cherish being a mother and every crazy bit of parenting – I want to share that love with others. I want all moms and birthing people to have access to information that would make their journey into parenthood as pleasantly as possible. It is my hope that my services would offer a shoulder to lean on, a friend, a listening ear to the people I feel need it the most, regardless of what that journey may look like – breastfeeding/chestfeeding, breast milk in the bottle, or formula. I didn’t see enough of that. So, I decided to do that myself. Originally wanted to start a nonprofit but, I didn’t have the funds. I decided to offer my services at little to no expense.

What should our readers know about your business?
“I don’t know it’s only 3rd day out here.” No, in all seriousness. I am just getting started. I have helped a few moms before actually starting up a website and registering my business with the state. There were so many reaching out and that’s when I realized, I got to do this and I love to do this. The hardest part, that I am still working on, is putting myself out there. I have never been big on social media or engaging online and now I have to. I been pushing myself to make content to reach the people I need to with help of my best friend, Amanda.

What I would love the world to know about my brand is that it is for everyone. Struggling with PPD? I am here. Trouble latching? I am here. Just need someone to talk with? I am here. Parent in need of advise of how to support breastfeeding/chestfeeding partner? I am here. Teenage pregnancy? I am here. I am always in a training and learning how to help those who need it. I am also, the queen of resources. If i can’t help you, I know someone who can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely adore Canvas Cafe in Marietta, GA near the Kennestone Hospital. I always get the burrito with extra avocado, Irish crème latte, and a slice of chocolate banana nut bread. My family and I spend all our free days at either the Catch Air in Marietta, Atlanta Zoo or Deer Lick Park in Douglasville, GA. We spend some time going on hikes although we have not gone in some time. We really just enjoy getting out the house and getting some fresh air.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout a few people who have been amazing in not only supporting me but, teaching me. Angela, you are truly heaven sent. You have been since the day I met you and continue to be. I am learning every day that I am with you. I thank God for bringing you into my life. That leads me to Kiana Ayers… Ma’am you are the best. Your drive. Your brilliance. Your want to help the community. It’s admirable the work you do with Ready Set Push. I am glad to be a part of it. Dana Young, you have been a listening ear every time a mom in need has crossed my path and I wasn’t sure I could help her. You gave me encouragement, some great tips, and great laughs. I absolutely love you. To my husband, Alex, you are everything.
