We had the good fortune of connecting with Derek Hairston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Derek, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships have been the number one factor behind Derek Hairston Jr.’s success. One of his most impactful partnerships, was between his agency Olam Sites and Wix.

Derek is owner of Atlanta-based website development agency Olam Sites, is one of the world’s leading Wix Partners. Recognized for his team’s expertise in website design and development, particularly on Wix, he was invited by Wix to join an exclusive group of the world’s Top 20 Wix Partners on the corporate advisory board for the development of “Wix Studio.”

Soon after the official launch of Wix Studio in August of 2023, Derek and his fellow Wix Partners (all agency owners) were flown in from around the world to spend a week at the Wix Headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel. There, Derek met directly with the product teams and the CEO of Wix, Avishai Abrahami to further shape the future of Wix Studio.

During his time as a partner, Derek has been featured in a Wix Superbowl commercial, Wix webinars, and Wix articles.

Today, Derek continues to serve on the Wix Studio advisory board, influencing the evolution of the platform. He and his team at Olam are like a special forces unit, capable of bringing any vision to life on Wix.

As of 2023, Wix is the leading website builder in the world – the Israel-based company accounting for over 43 percent of global market share.
