Meet Dennis Howard | media executive

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dennis Howard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dennis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Media is digital now so it was important to be in the space in Jamaica as early as possible.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Riddim Force Media Group is dedicated to immersing listeners and readers in modern black culture from a global viewpoint through Riddim1 Radio, RiddimStyle Magazine, and the Echoes in the Bones Podcast. What new and intriguing things do we bring to the table? Because our coverage is actually global, and we are present anywhere there is black culture, our content is truly diverse and intriguing, and it is not limited to what is hot and trending. It’s a platform that promotes talented creators regardless of their fame. The only thing that matters is that the material is excellent.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dub Club Jacks Hill (dub music)
Devon House (Ice Cream and Curry Goat Patties)
Uptown Mondays (weekly party)
Hellshire Beach (fish, festival and lobster)
“Weddy Weddy Wednesdays” Stone Love Sound System
Ribbiz (food music, drinks)
“100” (music, drinks and food)
The National Gallery (art)
Hope Garden and Emancipation Park
Gloria’s Port Royal (Seafood)
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the people I learned from during my career in media and entertainment, including Sirius XM’s Dermott Hussey, Don Bucknor, Alma Mockyen, my media professor, and my father, James Howard, for instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in me.
