We had the good fortune of connecting with DENITRIS HARRIS and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DENITRIS, what principle do you value most?
Transparency, I wore the mask of I’m fine, I’m good, and I’m okay for so many years. I was lying to myself and to others. I finally made a hard decision to take the mask off and be honest, authentic, and real with myself and others. I began my healing journey.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My greatest accomplishment is graduating from Alabama State University/HBCU, with a BSW Degree in Social Work. Lessons learned for me would be focus, discipline, and determine. Always believe in yourself even when no one else does.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Urban Grind poetry night, sandwiches, juices and desserts City Winery
Paschals fried chicken, mac and cheese etc
Lounge Restaurant and Bar
Uptown Comedy Corner
Sip and Paint
