Hi Denise, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business is an exciting yet daunting task. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, but the rewards are worth it. For me, the decision to start my own business was driven by several factors, with my family and building a legacy,

My family has always been my biggest motivation in life. As a mother of three adult children and 5 grandkids, I wanted to create a better future for my family. I wanted the flexibility to spend more time with them, be there for important moments, and provide them with a comfortable life. Starting my own business would give me the opportunity to do just that. I could set my own schedule, work from home, and have the ability to prioritize my family without sacrificing my career aspirations.

It is also about creating something that will last beyond my lifetime. I wanted to build a legacy for my family, a company that would outlive me and provide a source of income and pride for generations to come. I wanted to create a business that was more than just a way to make money; I wanted to create something that would make a difference in people’s lives and contribute positively to society.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own a Mental Health facility that provides community services to adults and children. My mental health facility play a crucial role in providing comprehensive behavioral health care, counseling, medication management, crisis response, and other services for individuals with mental health concerns. By offering a range of interventions such as nursing, case management, peer support, skill building, and community support, my facility helps individuals with mental health issues lead fulfilling lives. The thing that sets us apart is having a heart for the community and the people we serve. We been serving Atlanta, GA for 15 years.

I’ve been blessed to get to where I am today by the grace of God. He has given me the ability to create everything that I have. I also added my hard work, faith, determination and consistency. Building a business is never easy, if it was everyone would be business owners. I over came the challenges that I faced along the journey by never giving up. One thing I learned in this life of being a business owner is you better know Jesus for yourself. I have learned that people will be people. You can’t expect people to work like you, you have to meet them were they are. I’ve learned when you build the people the people will build the business. I want people to know that Visions of New Hope is a business that has been around for a long time, we will continue to provide services to our community with love, compassionate, and empathy for others. We want to be that resource for schools to help more children. We understand that our children are our next generation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have so many to name but one lady in particular, My mom, she has been the driving forces behind everything I do. She is truly a blessing in my life.
