We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Flippen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denise, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I, Denise Flippen am a native of Buffalo, NY. I am also the product of an undesired teenage pregnancy. Both, my mother and father were plagued by the religious fear of abortion. This thrusted into the world; however, resentment and rejection raised me. Desperate for a sense of belonging, I found myself engaging in all sorts of unhealthy relationships. At the tender age of 15, I discovered I was pregnant and could not have been happier. My mother: however, reliving her own teenage experience, attempted to provide me with the gift that had been stripped from her; ABORTION! The years of feeling unloved and undesired created in me a longing to experience real love. This led me to fight for the life of my unborn child. Displeased with my decision, my mother’s and I dysfunctional relationship intensified.

Today, I am the mother of 4 beautiful children and accredit my teenage pregnancy with saving my life. Now, teenage pregnancy is not my focal point in business and ministry, breaking from religious oppression and overcoming the fear of walking in your divine identity is. I began my journey of healing from the fear of reject at the mature age of 30. Enduring the painful process of having the fear of rejection uprooted from my heart. My heart now holds a tree that bears fruit that provide love and life to those who are deemed unworthy by society and plagued by religious standards. I stand before you today as Flippen Faith, a generational curse breaker. My job is to help others to uprooting the weeds of destruction that is purposed to choke the life out of them, and to plant and water seeds of LOVE and LIFE while giving them the GRACE and SPACE needed for God to grow in and through them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Finding myself a teenage mother thrusted me into adulthood relatively early. This caused me to seek employment that would benefit me and my child. The world of healthcare provided that along with many other great benefits. I began as a Personal Care Aide, advanced to a Certified Nursing Assistant and eventually continued my education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. I was doing well for myself as a mother of 4 despite the naysayers; however, I was suffering from depression and longing for more when I had my first suicide attempt.

In 2015, I took a bunch of pills to end my life. This is where I came face-to-face with God in a very real way. “Are you done”, He asked. “Lord I am DONE!”, I replied. “Good. Now I can live through you”, He responded. From that moment on I went through a series of task that began the process of reprogramming my mind. I walked away from everything I had built, including nursing to discover who I truly was. During that journey I discovered that I love helping other to break-free from the traumatic events that hindered them from being true to themself.

Coined a Faithcare Coach, I work diligently to create transformational programs that are innovative, fun and therapeutic. I became a self-published author of “Ready Aim Fire”, a faith=based study guide journal to freedom and began creating and hosting workshops, events and retreats that are not only enjoyable, but freeing. I am in-love with my life today. I am passionate about the connections that I make and the services I provide to all I come in contact with. I also returned to school for a Bachelor’s in Health Service Administration and working in a field of nursing that allows me to connect with individuals who are longing to discover their purpose and power.

FlippenFaith Services is a brand that was birth out of the mud and remains in the mud to help others get unstuck. We are not afraid to get our hands dirty fighting for the freedom of others. LOVE, GRACE and SPACE for the purposes of RESTORATION is our mantra!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hosting a guess in the city of Alanta would have to begin with a self-care pampering session at Squeaky Clean Esthetics located in Buckhead. There we would enjoy facials, lash enhancements and the uplifting presence of Shanae. The atmosphere is enchanting with tunes that are smooth with a personal touch.

Dinner would most definitely be hosted at Ruth’s Chris on Steak House in the Embassy Suite, although out stay would have to be at one of the fine Air BNB rentals that provide a beautiful, luxurious and welcoming atmosphere.

I am and nature girl… We would spend much of our time outdoors hiking and exploring the beauty that Atlanta has to offer, and right outside of Atlanta is the beautiful Stone Mountain. We would enjoy a day climbing Stone Mountain, resting on its top for a nice relaxing vibe embracing the mountaintop scenery.

Paradise Lounge in Sandy Springs makes for a great time as they host a variety of bands to be enjoyed by all. However, our night life would truly depend on the great Kevin Kayree. He knows how to bring a crowd out and have a great time!

Our trip would not be complete without a brunch date at Gocha’s Breakfast Bar on Cassade Rd. This place is lively, and the food is delicious!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Tish Shearer: the founder of Fervently Creations, is uniquely anointed to create, mentor, and equip leaders and spiritual warriors in the body of Christ. Her colorful history of drug addiction, exotic dancing and intimate sexual pleasure credentials her with the wisdom to help others navigate through their own complex challenges hindering them from living a life of true freedom. She is often referred to as a gravedigger as she has no problem going back with her shovel for those buried alive by life circumstances and unhealthy mindsets.

Visionary Author Tish Shearer latest anthology, “Prisoner of War in the Mind” doubles as a conference in the great city of Atlanta. Prisoner of War in the Mind is a tool designed to empower and encourage other men and women who are living in a mental warzone due to the taunting thoughts of past experiences. So often, we replay over and over what a person said to us, did to us, or how a person made us feel, limiting our ability to become the greatest version of ourselves. Tish Shearer collaborates with a host of co-authors, including myself, as we share how we were liberated from the prison within our own minds and begin walking in the purpose and power that was rightfully ours all along.

I want to recognize Tish as she is paving away for myself as well as many others whose voices need to be heard and stories shared. Productions such as radio/talk shows, anthologies, and conferences create the perfect atmosphere to not only dig up graves, but to plant new seeds of Love, Hope and Inspiration.
