We had the good fortune of connecting with Denielle Placide and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denielle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting our counseling, life coaching, and mentoring business was a journey deeply rooted in our personal experiences and the transformative power of healing that we have witnessed in our own lives. My husband and I have shared 24 years of marriage, filled with both joyous moments and profound challenges. It was during the “for worse” times that our relationship faced its greatest trials, even to the brink of separation. In these moments of distress, we found ourselves yearning for a sanctuary—a place where we could connect deeply, navigate our struggles, and heal without judgment.

Despite our extensive search, we found very few spaces that truly offered the kind of support and understanding we needed. In our darkest times, we turned to our faith, and it was through divine intervention that we found healing in our relationship. We experienced firsthand the profound impact of having a safe, non-judgmental space to work through our issues. This journey of healing not only rejuvenated our bond but also ignited a calling within us. We felt a divine nudge, a message from God, urging us to create a Safe Place for others—a place of hope, healing, and harmony.

Thus, our business was born from this divine inspiration and our heartfelt desire to support others on their journeys. We are dedicated to providing a compassionate and safe space where young adults, couples, and children can find solace and emotional healing.

Our mission is to be used by God to touch lives and transform hearts, one person at a time, helping them reclaim their joy, overcome their challenges, and build stronger, more harmonious relationships. Our Centre uses an integrative approach that combines counseling for emotional well-being, coaching for personal and professional growth, and mentoring for long-term success and fulfillment.

Through our work, we aspire to be the beacon of hope and healing that we once sought, guided by faith and the belief that every heart deserves a safe place to heal and thrive. Ann Voskamp said Shame dies when stories are told in safe places “and so Safe Place Family Life Enrichment Centre was birthed to provide a place of hope, healing, and harmony.

This is not just a business for us but a Promise. While it took a rough season in our relationship to birth this business, we always knew our love and passion for people would lead us on the right path someday. For many years, we found ourselves drawn to roles where we could offer support and guidance, whether it was through volunteer work, professional endeavors, personal relationships, or spiritual guidance. What we do is not just a job, but it is a divine calling.

Additionally, since 2016, I have also served as the president and founder of an NGO called the Priceless Foundation for Women. Our mission is to educate, empower, and elevate girls and women, fostering integrity through dedication to God, family, community, and country. This endeavor focuses on offering support and growth opportunities to girls and women, emphasizing faith, empowerment, and community as core values. Ultimately, our goal is to cultivate a society of girls and women who break the cycle of risky behaviors, surmount social obstacles, and lead lives guided by Spirituality, Responsibility, and Dignity.

In the end, God won’t say, “Well said,” “Well thought,” or “Well planned.” The ultimate measure will be, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Mark Batterson. All I desire is to hear those words.

SPFLEC is dedicated to helping individuals transition from mere survival to thriving in a haven of emotional wellness and positive life transformation. The Integrative TheraCoaching Approach offered at SPFLEC is tailored to meet each person’s unique needs, combining traditional and faith-based techniques to empower individuals to overcome emotional pain. We are all about transforming lives, one heart at a time. We provide a Safe Place. A place of hope, A place of Healing, and A place of Harmony. Our Services include therapy and coaching for young adults, adults, couples, families, and groups, as well as psychoeducational seminars, workshops, and training for local and international clients. SPFLEC provides a compassionate and empathic experience in a safe, affordable, and non-judgmental environment. The values and principles that guide us can be likened to a compass, steering us toward fulfillment and purpose. Among the myriads of values, putting God first, empathy, and integrity stand out as pillars that shape our business model, character, and ongoing interactions with clients.
