Meet DeNeatra Love-Jeffers | Principal Designer – The Love Edit Interiors

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeNeatra Love-Jeffers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DeNeatra, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Because it’s how I understand the world. I spent nearly two decades in advertising, helping global brands translate big ideas into experiences people could actually feel and connect with. That work taught me how to listen deeply, find the emotional truth, and build with intention—not just beauty. Interior design felt like a natural evolution of that skill set. It sits at the intersection of art and everyday life, where creativity meets function, and where thoughtful design can genuinely improve how people live. It’s the most honest way I know to use my abilities in service of others.

What should our readers know about your business?
It has always been a goal to build my own business, but I wasn’t sure what business and when. Then, after checking several career boxes in corporate America and still wanting something more meaningful, starting The Love Edit felt like a natural act of alignment.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Leaving a successful corporate career to build something of my own required faith, patience, and a willingness to start again. The biggest challenge was trusting that my experience would translate and learning to apply it in a more personal, human way. I overcame that by leaning into what I know best: listening deeply, building systems that support creativity, and staying committed to quality over speed.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters with intention. I want the world to know that The Love Edit Interiors is about more than beautiful homes. It’s about creating homes that support real lives, reflect the people who live in them, and are built to withstand any trend.—delivered with care, clarity, and heart. And that’s what sets The Love Edit apart.
We marry timeless, soulful design with executive-level oversight. Our clients aren’t just hiring someone with a good eye; they’re gaining a calm, organized partner who manages budgets, builders/architects, trades, and details with precision so the process feels as thoughtful and composed as the final space. I’m especially proud of our belief that wellness isn’t an add-on; it’s the foundation. We design homes that are durable, livable, and restorative. Spaces that feel like an exhale at the end of the day

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, we’d start the morning with a Yoga class at Lift Yoga in Duluth. Next, we’d head to Buckhead and have brunch at The Southern Gentleman. The shrimp and grits are worth battling traffic if you live outside the city. Before leaving, we’d stop inside the pastry shop below for Macaroons. Then, we’d hit the Beltline for a post brunch walk, checking out art along the way. For dinner, we’d head to Coalition in Alpharetta and indulge in charred oysters.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lee Ann Culpepper – mentor, professor, OG Interior Designer and a major reason I decided to pursue opening my own studio given her reassurance of talent.
