We had the good fortune of connecting with Demetrius Dorn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Demetrius, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process for starting my business was based on the fact that for almost 23 Years I’ve worn Scrubs for most of my day, 5 days a week. I’m a Certified Surgical Tech. So I begin to think that since most of my time is being spent wearing scrubs why not invest in a business that I know about, and know there will always be a demand for. I know how important it is to be comfortable while working, and to have durable, stylish, moisture wicked, wrinkle resistant scrubs. And that’s what I provide to all my customers.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A’Dorn Scrubs & More was started on 02/22/22. I own an online/mobile uniform store offering the best medical apparel globally. I have such a variety of colors and styles. Sizes ranging up to 4X in selected styles. Also, Men’s Scrubs are available too. Customer Service is so important to me. So I give it my all. In honor of my daughter who passed away, I named my business after her. Ashley Dorn (A’Dorn Scrubs & More)

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
At this point in life, I’ve entered the enjoyment of brunches and day parties. I’m 50😊Lol I really enjoy music, great food and drinks, dancing and just socializing with people. Also, certainly love a great massage and pedicure. Followed by shopping. I’m pretty chill. I just go with the flow. Just thankful to even be here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to acknowledge my Great Aunt Thema Sheffield, who passed away last year. I was faced with alot of obstacles during a part of my life and really acted out. It could have ended so much worse. She was the one person who never gave up on me, even took me in. Such a woman of power that I’ve always admired, and wanted to be just like. For so many reasons, I thank her.
