We had the good fortune of connecting with Debbie London and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Debbie, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Being a healer is extremely rewarding because you are able to watch people’s lives transform for the better right before your eyes. However, it is very emotionally, mentally, and spiritually draining. Lots of grounding and balance is necessary to separate your emotions from those you are assisting. Especially concerning the spiritual aspects of healing, it is important to guard yourself simultaneously while being present with clients.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a generational healing coach, I help others unpack the traumas of the past so that they can face what has been hidden and heal. Most people don’t highlight how childhood trauma plays a huge role in current behaviors nor do they take a look at generational cycles that may also be factored in. I am an expert at finding the root causes of issues from the past so that peace, healing, and freedom can be attained presently. I have had to do a lot of work on myself to be comfortable with my niche. I previously felt that since it was such a unique topic I was out of place and maybe I needed a different approach. Now I understand that I just had to find my tribe of those I have been called to serve. Being confident in myself and my gifts was a huge hurdle to overcome and I did so by lots of my own inner-work. I want people to know that you can turn your pain into purpose. God told me at the age of 18 that I would write a book (Residue), about generational curses and my family experiences. I didn’t believe it and it took me 12 years to come to terms with the call on my life. All of the avoidance I had towards my purpose I wish I would have used to accept it fully when I got the message. However, I understand that everything happens exactly when it is supposed to. Don’t run away from your calling because it seems like to great of a task, run toward it and you will be surprised at what unfolds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am such a homebody that I barely get out, especially with the pandemic 🙁

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank my loved ones because without them I have no idea where I would be. They have been necessary support and accountability in where I am today. I also want to thank members of the spiritual community that I met off of TikTok who have been a tremendous source of support in helping me evolve which also correlates to the growth of my business.
