Meet DeAsha Redding | Business Growth Consultant & Non Profit Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeAsha Redding and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DeAsha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my business in 2018 it was because I wanted to help people. My original business model was credit restoration. That business came about because I had bad credit myself. At the time, there was no one that looked like me or had a similar experience. Because of that, I decided to become what I needed. Someone to educate on finances and how to build credit. Later on I pivoted my business, but the overall mission remained the same. Being a resource for others.

What should our readers know about your business?
My tax and bookkeeping firm is called Vivacious Professional Services. We are located in Indianapolis, IN.
Business was not easy at first. I taken many losses and learned lessons. I overcame the challenges by evaluating and investing in my development as a CEO. Being a business owner takes so much out of you. It requires you to stretch beyond just taking care of yourself. After being in business for years, I get approached by other business owners on mentorship.
It started with q few business owners and it became a different business in itself. Now I consult founders on business management and talent acquisition to build their teams.
I want the world to know to never give up on yourself and pivot as many times as you need to get it right.
Keep working on yourself!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend coming into town, we would start our day at the gym. We would then get dressed and head out to brunch, somewhere down town that has a beautiful scenery. Afterwards we would go shop with some of our local black owned businesses. After circulating our dollars, we would end the evening at Northside Bar having a drink and listening to some music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I Would like to dedicate this to my son who has been my number one supporter and so selfless to share me as I build our business.
Thank you to my partner for staying yo with me on those late nights.
To my mentor and coaches who pushed me and saw my potential to grow.
To my clients who trust me with their company. I love and appreciate you all.
