We had the good fortune of connecting with Dear Pricey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dear Pricey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The lifestyle I wanted wasn’t going to come from one source of income. I needed to create multiple streams. I also don’t like taking orders from others. That’s when I knew I had to start my own business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always appreciated billboard. Studying the Hot 100 songs. I figured if I wanted to make a hit song I had to study the top 10 songs. Some people call it selling out but I’m not making music for myself but to a world. I needed to understand what their taste was if I wanted my song in their playlist. It’s a challenge but when you’re doing it with love & your fans in mind it becomes easier knowing the song will be a voice or soundtrack to what they are going through in life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Krog street have a great artistic tunnel for taking pictures. Farm burger is becoming my favorite burger spot! You have to visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my mentor Troy Taylor!
