We had the good fortune of connecting with Deanna Salomon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deanna, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
That In order to be successful you must get a college degree. Although this belief resonated with us for decades and was apparently true for most, we see that it is not the case especially with our late millennials and gen z’s. who are more technically inclined that any other generation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
One thing I love about EVERYTHINGLUXE BRAND is that we try to make accessories not be an afterthought and I think that is what sets us apart. We want you to have a cohesive wardrobe and that means accessories included, and we take all the guess work out of it.

Being an entrepreneur definitely has its challenges and when it comes to accessories I believe it’s even more challenging because you have multiple products:. You may have to have multiple strategies to hit your target but you will hit it as long as you don’t quit and have patience EVERYTHINGLUXE BRAND strives for that everyday.

EVERYTHINGLUXE BRAND came out of a desire for fashion design and a love for accessories since the age of 4 by watching my mom get dressed for galas and black tie affairs . I come from a family of educators and decided to pursue education all while selling my jewelry and accessories to friends, family and co-workers and let’s not forget the beauty salons I would go to in Brooklyn, Queens and Connecticut. It was a grind but a grind that I loved so it never felt like work. It felt effortless.

This passion that I had since the age of 13 is still there decades later and I’m glad I’m still pursuing it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Connecticut is such a beautiful state all year round and although I’m a native New Yorker (Queens), I’ve come to love and appreciate this state for its amenities. I’m such a foodie and if we were to hang out for a week, I’m only taking you to the best places. For dinner we will go to Shell and Bones located in New Haven, CT. The food, cocktails and ambience are amazing and it’s right on the water. To de stress and get our laugh on we can visit the Stress Factory which always has a great line up of your favorite comedians and to chill and listen to some great music we could go to Thelma’s located in Bridgeport for “Wine down Wednesday “ oh and their food is pretty good too.
Connecticut has a bevy of spas to choose from but we would go to Water’s Edge Resort and Spa located in Westbrook, CT to get pampered in luxury from head to toe as well as enjoy a wonderful lunch. This spa is absolutely amazing.
There are so many cute cafes we can visit but the one that comes to mind is Pistachio Cafe located in Westville, a suburb of New Haven. Here you can enjoy specialty coffees and yummy desserts like their baklava which is so good .. This place also has cool vibe to sit and chat or catch up on some work.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I must shoutout my hubby for his continuous support since day one, my core circle ( they know who they are), my family and my mom who always said you can be whatever you want to be!

If it weren’t for them man listen….
