We had the good fortune of connecting with Dawn Easter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dawn, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The purpose and mission behind my business is the economic freedom and empowerment of women, particularly women of color. Through intimately knowing and understanding their client avatars, women entrepreneurs are able to more effectively service their clients and customers, generating revenue that can be used to support not only their families but their communities. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am super excited to be of service to women entrepreneurs, helping them to crystallize the true vision they have for their businesses by discovering (or rediscovering) their ideal clients. Doing the work to realize that vision and getting granularly specific about their target audiences will have such a great impact on their lives and businesses. I am truly looking forward to our work together being the first step in that journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My bestie knows I am all about a great spa so that’s where we’d start. The Scents of Serenity Organic Spa in Short Pump has an amazing flower essence bath and massage. I can’t let her leave town without trying it! The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is one of the best gardens in the country. Beautiful flowers and the warm Virginia sunshine…sheer perfection. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and absolutely adore the Strawberry Lemon cake at Shyndigz. Sushi is on the menu for dinner and there is no better place than Red Salt.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout goes to Paul & Jill Brunson! Their mentorship and support has been absolutely instrumental in the growth of my business.
