We had the good fortune of connecting with David Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
At first, my work-life balance did not exist. I was young and hungry—eager and committed to working at every opportunity that came my way. When I was first establishing my business, I worked during my own and my family members’ birthdays, missed out on family events, and skipped social gatherings just to feel successful.

Over time, I learned that the most important currency isn’t money but time—because once it’s spent, you can never get it back. Now, I prioritize scheduling around family and friend events so that I can be present for them. Even if that means losing business, I believe finding that balance is a crucial part of entrepreneurship. Once you have it, you won’t want to lose it again.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my versatility as both a photographer and drone operator. I blend fashion, lifestyle, event, and aerial photography, giving my work a unique edge while giving it my own style.

I’ve been able to get where I am today by staying consistent with my work ethic and always striving to improve all aspects of my business. It wasn’t easy—sacrifices had to be made when it came to personal time, but in the end, I was able to find that balance. Whenever I hit walls in my journey that were too hard for me to conquer alone, I reached out to colleagues for any advice they could offer.

A major lesson I’ve learned along the way is the art of not showing all your cards at once. This means not revealing your plans, intentions, or information to others prematurely, but instead maintaining an element of strategic secrecy. I’ve had people around me whom I thought were supportive, only to find out they were secretly planning my demise.

I want the world to know that my brand is about authentic storytelling. I focus on capturing the essence of moments. My work is built on passion, creativity, and a commitment to excellence, and I strive to constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible. Above all, I want my brand to reflect a genuine desire to help and uplift others, both through my work and by supporting up-and-coming creatives.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first person I want to shoutout is my dad. He got me my first camera when I was 10 years old and has been supporting me since the beginning. His compassion allowed me to explore photography not just as a hobby but as a career I could build for myself.

A great influence on my career path is Judith Pishnery. When I started at Gwinnett Technical College fresh out of high school, she opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I could do with my business after I completed the photography program. Her guidance and commitment to teaching me fueled my drive to grow.

A couple more influences to me were Walker Pickering, Dana Fritz & the art staff at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

These are just a few of the core people who helped me at the beginning, but the truth is, I wouldn’t be able to continue my success without the support of many others. The list goes on and on. Thanks to the continued support I receive, I’ve vowed to give that same support back to anyone who’s up-and-coming and seeks my help.
