Meet David Jackson | Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because to be honest my mental state can get very bored and when I’m bored I feel I may do something bad and unhealthy. So I do try my best to stay in motion with something productive so I can stay in my purpose. Creating music is something I love and I don’t think that love will fade anytime soon.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been doing music ever since I can remember and I started on guitar and drums. I was around 12 when I started playing instruments. I joined school band and continued all the way through high school playing the trumpet as drum major as well. I’ve encountered plenty of different people and have grown along the way as well. I’ve developed my love for Hip Hop through making beats as well and poured my efforts to my stage name MC David J to make it grow. I only hope to continue to grow with it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am in Atlanta so I enjoy going to places such as Edgewood, Piedmont park, five points, and plenty of local surrounding parks. I honestly just enjoy being outdoors and exploring. And I love to hike trails as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to a creative individual named Trent. He makes very creative videos as well as music too. Another highly creative Atlanta native making his way in the game and deserving creditability!
