Meet David Carter: Owner and Executive Chef

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind a Carter’s Creations is my team and support system has stepped up and had my back in different areas making This Journey This Dream as smooth as possible helping out and encouraging me along the way helps me to keep pushing my business Carter’s Creations to the next level.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Carter’s Creations Event Planning and Catering Service what makes us different is that we specialize in a full service event experience meaning “one stop shop” from venues, decor,transportation,food,servers bartenders,photographer, and m/or DJ’s you can get all this from us. It wasn’t easy starting out but my passion and drive to have my own business pushed me to step out of faith. New chapters in life brings new challenges and you have no control over obstacles faced but I deal with each problem I face one at a time I’m not in a race with no one and I’m still learning along the way. There’s always gonna be others doing what your doing but stay true to yourself and brand. I’m a living testimony that with hard work anything is possible I took my passion, education, and training and made a business doing what I love to do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Because I’m not a native of Atlanta from time to time I have to show people around the city here’s a few spots I would hit up. My favorite bars Blake’s and Bulldogs. My restaurant Q-Time, A-Town Wings, and Joe’s on Juniper. Hanging out spots Lil 5pts, pounce city market, Piedmont Park

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Sous Chef and future life partner Chef Ben has been a major asset a true blessing in more way than one.
