Meet Daunta Bryan | Gaming content creator/streamer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daunta Bryan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daunta, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You don’t ever give up. As long as you’re passionate about what you do. Focusing on the bigger picture and how to get there, you’ll always find success. I found what works best for me and that is finding a way out of no way to do something I feel strongly about.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a gamer. Entertainer. Creator. There aren’t many black gamers on the scene that are well represented and I would like to make that impact in Atlanta, Georgia. I feel really strongly about giving back to a community and inspiring others while entertaining as well. I got to where I was because I didn’t give up. I’ve been streaming since 2017 and I would stream for hours with 0 viewers. I wanted to give up after minimal effort and greater expectations. There’s a lot that goes into streaming to do it the right way. Investing in yourself was the main lesson. Seeing the bigger picture. I’m always open to helping others, I would stop what I was doing to help anyone with a stream question, gaming question, ANYTHING. I feel that’s what really sets me apart, I’m genuine about helping others and watching them grow. The lesson I want people to learn is to be yourself and never give up. It won’t happen over night, but if you stay consistent you’ll get there!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visiting Atlanta! We are for sure going to AXR Edge, located at 848 Spring Street NW! Super chill place for gamers to hang and enjoy the scenery of Midtown/Buckhead while gaming. Super cool place. Another place that has really welcomed me was Contender Esports! They have multiple locations in Georgia, even some in Colorado and Texas! Ghost Energy has been my drink of choice, I love how it has zero sugar! I definitely feel a lot more focused when I’m gaming and doing tasks that require a great deal of attention! There’s so many great food spots, one of the best burger joints I’d recommend would be The Companion in Atlanta. 5-star burgers with a nice atmosphere. Definitely a big fan of pumping iron at my favorite gym, Bodyplex. Ghost energy fuels with their tasty energy drinks. My favorite attraction in Atlanta would be the High Museum. Admiring someone’s artwork is super fun. Seeing someone else’s perspective on something can be so simple yet so complex and I find joy in that. There’s so much to do and see in Atlanta, it’s always growing too, so expect to sit in a bit of traffic with whatever you do!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Some organizations I’d like to shoutout for welcoming me with open arms are @Unitedspinal_atl on Instagram, @evolve_yg on Instagram, and @axredge on Instagram. That’s what kind of put me on the map for gaming within Atlanta communities. I got to experience so much in such a short time. It even opened other doors for me through gaming. I tutor paraplegic players through the United Spinal program and it’s been the most exciting experience so far. Getting to connect with other gamers and share that common interest has always been important to me. Along with inspiring and impacting the community as well. My small team has been behind me every step of the way. It isn’t easy streaming and trying to entertain, but the community I have built so far has no idea how much they do for me. Sometimes it’s a mental struggle and streaming so, chatting up with them after a long day or weekend could be just the boost I need to push on.
