Hi Daren, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I have a flexible schedule and it allows me to have a good work life balance. I enjoy spending time with my daughter. After my daughter was born, I set a cut off time and I make time for her. Having a good work life balance is very important. I believe everyone should utilize vacation time and take day offs to recharge.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a licensed Insurance Agent in the state of GA. Running an insurance business requires patience and resiliency. I’ve learned that success comes when you put the needs of others 1st. I listen to my clients’ needs and solve their problems. I also utilize social media to educate my clients and followers. My social media content is mostly informative and includes several insurance tips and tricks that are proven to save people money. Most importantly, I do right by my clients. When you do right by people, they are more likely to mention you to others in their circle.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Currently, one of my favorite places to hang out, eat etc. is “The Battery.” I would take all my friends there because it’s so much to do in one place.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I was fortunate to have a mentor who coached me and pushed me to be great. His name is Joseph Mansour and he taught me everything I needed to know about the insurance Industry.
