We had the good fortune of connecting with Darasha Singleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darasha, is there something you believe many others might not?
A piece of conventional advice I would disagree with is the concept of transparency. Being transparent is great, but your own level of transparency is even better. Not being a certain level of transparent does not make you a ‘ liar’. As a leader, role model, business owner, etc you should be able to decide what you want to share with the rest of society. For example, You do not have to feel bad for not broadcasting your losses, if all you want to show is the wins and how you acquired those wins. Transparency is not all or nothing. You decide whats good for everyone to know.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I conduct an interview series under my media segment, Darasha Dee Media. My media company is what i like to call it. What sets my interview series apart, are the questions and chemistry throughout the show. I am most proud of how far ive come with it and to see that guest ive actually been able to bring on, im excited to see how Darasha Dee media will grow and who my next guest will be! I wouldn’t say the journey was easy but once i put my mind to it, it ran smoothly. There were of course constant challenges, still to this very day that im currently trying to overcome. The lessons ive learned along the way, is keep your content relevant. If an individual you interviewed is currently trending, repost your work. its only right. I Would like the world to know about me that my mind is always running off of creativity, even if there is a halt in my work. I would like the world to know that my brand may not have all the eyes, but it deserves all the ears.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit me here in Atlanta, it would be so much indescive thinking going on! somethings I do know we would check out is.. -Thumbs Up for breakfast -we would hit Bugaloo for brunch -Sx Flags for some excitement – old national discount mall for the culture – Taco mac for dinner – and to top of the night we would hit Oak Nightclub

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mom of course for believing in all the ideas i had weather they came to life or not. I would also like to give shoutouts to Ayana Gunn, Founder of Georgia Media. She was really my helping hand into the media world, coming to atlanta.
