We had the good fortune of connecting with Daphne Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daphne, what do you attribute your success to?
I can only credit family. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in my vision have been the driving force behind everything I do. My family keeps me grounded, inspired, and motivated to push forward through every challenge. They have come in and provided support for my business in a multitude of ways. Late-night classes, attending open houses, listening to my rants. The success of my brand is truly thanks to the foundation that my community has given me. I think my students see and feel that and want to contribute too.

What should our readers know about your business?
Nurse Mom and Family, LLC is a healthcare education and professional development organization based in Georgia, dedicated to empowering the next generation of healthcare workers. The company provides high-quality certification programs in AHA-certified BLS and First Aid as well as Certified Medication Courses. Because I kinda just stumbled into owning this business, I must say I’m incredibly proud of how much we have grown. The journey was filled with twists and turns, and we even survived through COVID, which most certainly kept us on our toes. Given all that, I couldn’t have imagined that so many people would come to take our course and thank us for the work we do. If I could say anything about my business, I’d tell everyone you never know what a small idea can become if you just believe!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my Atlanta Staples are Zestos, Fellini’s, of course, and if we’re grabbing dessert, we’ll go to Kilwins in Atlantic Station

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My daughter Cydni, she shouted me out but she deserves a shoutout too. She does a little bit of everything, Working in the music industry as a creative strategist and supporting our family business as a CMA and anything else we need at the time. She deserves a shout out
