We had the good fortune of connecting with Danny Boy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always aspired to leave my mark on the world in some kind of way. Whether it be through music, fashion, humanitarian work or just setting an example people could follow. I studied individuals I saw creating things that impacted the world from scratch; Whether it was Jay-Z building an empire, Nipsey building up and improving his neighborhood’s reputation or Steve Jobs just going against the grain no matter the cost. I combined all this inspiration and motivation, that’s how you get ‘BRICK BY BRICK’.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Danny Boy, artist from Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY. The journey to this point was the furthest from easy but I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve been in the music industry since I was 16 years old, over a decade now, the lessons I’ve learned you couldn’t pay for. Trials and tribulations shaped who I am today as a man and as an artist. You come into the game thinking it’s all glitz and glamour then they show you it’s more smoke n’ mirrors than anything. Your vision has to be clear and concise, your character firm and your intentions pure. Never let the bright lights blind you and keep your eyes on the prize you wanted before they ever paid you attention. If nothing else I want people to know me for my endurance and resiliency. I took 1000 L’s, I fell 1000 times. I just didn’t quit, I kept building.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m all over the place so it depends on what city we’re in. From Brooklyn, Chicago, ATL, to L.A I can pretty much put you onto whatever kind of vibe you looking for. My facecard valid a couple places. (Ha)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
