We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Carrington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The love of food. Learning to understand how to prepare it, plate it & enjoy it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets my food brand aside from other food bloggers is being honest and bringing new innovative food ideas up for Let’s Get Greedy and my website www..diningwithdanielle.net. My background doing standup comedy brings a unique spin to food in a happy & joyful way. My humor helps with my food reviews & my love for food helps me create different delicious recipes for foodies.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friends came to NYC I would take them to Mama Sushi, which is a Dominican/Japanese fusion Sushi in Washington Heights and Sabrosura in the Bronx which is a Chinese/Spanish style cuisine restaurant. Since I have a background is comedy, I would take them to a show called Comedy in Harlem at 508 East 117th Street in Harlem, NY for laughs & drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I started this journey when I was casted on Cook Your A$$ Off on HLN/CNN. Being a guest judge on the show help me realize I love cooking & tasting food. After being on the show, Tameka Gentry my best friend and videographer & Nicky Sunshine my fellow stand-up comedian good friend started a youtube series called Let’s Get Greedy! Where we traveled NYC to find the best & unique dishes and review them.
