Meet Danielle Brown | Owner of GoodGod Clothing /Motivator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is most likely self explanatory by my brand name, God. I can’t take credit for the creativity that he has blessed me with. Once I tapped into my gifts and callings within him, and came into a realization of who I am in Him, that’s when I realized that not only is success inevitable but it’s my duty to succeed and live an abundant life. I aim to incorporate God into everything I do. And inspire others through my testimony that all things are possible

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently working a full time job as I juggle being a mother and wife while building a brand. I came into Christ a few years ago and always had this absurd thought that I had to lay aside my uniqueness to fit the standard of what a believer should look like. How we should dress, where we should go, and how we’ should sound. Who made up these rules? And is that what it is really about? Rules and regulations seem to turn more people away from God than bringing them to. A lot of times we major in the minor and minor in the major. I had to sit and ask myself what’s really important and what really matters. What matters is that I can serve a good God and still be saved, sanctified AND SEXY while doing it. I can embrace my uniqueness because God set me apart for a reason. This is why I created my brand. To go against the grain and not be afraid to stand out and be bold in it. That’s what excites me about the journey. No matter where I’ve been, what I’ve done or what I currently struggle with I can come to Him as I am in expectation that he will not leave me where I am. That’s the beauty of it. This is what I want people to know, embrace who you are , your downfalls, your past, your struggles knowing that God comes to transform and enhance you. It’s not about getting “right” before you come to him. Come to him and he will get you right in a way he sees fit. It’s not easy for sure, I’ve experienced a lot of back lash and judgement but someone, somewhere will always have something to say. So I will continue to give them something to talk about.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is so eclectic that I would recommend a variety of things. I would first say Ponce City Market, High museum of art, trap music museum, Suite Lounge, hiking (East palisades Indian trail) And if you are visiting the Knoxville TN area where from, Gatlinburg, rooftop bars downtown gay street, live music at Water into Wine, Drink lounge

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I thank God first and foremost for choosing my husband and I to be representations of him. I can do any and all things through Him. I want to give a huge thanks to my hubby. This was actually his idea and I was the locomotive behind the idea. I loved the idea and ran with it. He supports all of my wild and spontaneous ideas and encourages me to push the limits and take risks. He is my biggest cheerleader. My sister who is always in my corner no matter what. My wonderful friend turned into sister Keosha who has always been by my side through thick and thin. And of course My mother who supports and encourages me to be all God has created me to be.
