We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process when I started my business in accounting was to be the voice for small business owners, through my experience in working with the Department of Revenue I realized there was a lack of education and training to business owners in regard to compliance issues. I saw the need to be an activist for small business owners who knew little to nothing about managing their books and compliance with tax entities. Therefore I created Royalty Accounting Firm to provide businesses, individuals, and organizations with financial wealth strategies and education.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Royalty Accounting Firm provides efficient, expert solutions to businesses, organizations, and individuals. While our services include accounting, taxation, and business services. We are more than just an accounting firm. We pride ourselves in being approachable and available to our clients by providing them with the knowledge and education needed to secure the financial wealth of there organization. I am where I am today through trial & error and some awesome business coaches along the way. If I could redo anything it would be to get as much education and knowledge on starting a business before I structured my business back in 2016. Every organization needs a business coach/mentor and to understand that Rome was not built in a day. Take your time, right your vision and make it clear. A lot of business owners fail to get help in the areas that they do not specialize in and think they can DIY there whole business structure. I have learned that no matter how much you want to stand alone every business needs a team, learn how to build a team around yourself, delegate tasks that can delegated and ask for help when needed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a foodie and not too much of a night life in my old age but when you come my way make sure you hit up Legacy for a whole vibe, the town center for the bougee crowd that wants to eat and shop. JC Crabs on Dunn Ave is a whole vibe on Thursday night with seafood, live DJ and Karaoke.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to God who is the head of my life, through all of my success and failures he has been at the head of the storm never leaving me nor forsaking me. As well I would acknowledge my mother she has been my biggest supporter and loudest cheerleader. The late nights & early mornings, proof reading, prayer partner. She has pushed me to excel in my career and never give up. As a single mother of 6 children it definitely takes a village to get to where I am today. So, although I have a major support system through friends, clients, & family. My mother has stood in the gap through the test of time and I owe a part of my success to the one lady who has had my back and stood in the fire with me.
