We had the good fortune of connecting with Danessa Elreya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danessa, why did you pursue a creative career?
I wanted to find a career path that would allow me to have the freedom to create my art. I am incredibly passionate about Magical Intentions, and am grateful that I’m able to connect to others, and craft a unique piece that represents a special meaning to each client or customer.

What should our readers know about your business?
My company- Magical Intentions-we create unique and handcrafted pieces of Art. I am owner and also The Artist. Our most popular feature, would definitely be the Handcrafted Gemstone Pendants. Each Pendant is crafted with positive and loving intention. The stones are hand selected, and represent beautiful and powerful meanings/affirmations. I had to overcome many challenges. At the time of launching my business and finding investors- I was also working a full time job and two part times, often I would get discouraged, Luckily I had an amazing support system and team. A special shout out to Devin Wills, and Candance Davies for being my biggest motivation to succeed and never give up. Finding a great team is fundamental for success. Lessons I’ve learned along the way, are to always persevere forward, and in times of distress- prayer, positive affirmation and connect to those around you, who love you and believe in your dreams. My family, friends, and community have often encouraged me, and in times when I didn’t have the most confidence, they would inspire me to keep going. God will find a way, and hard work pays off. Be passionate about what you do, and it will not feel like a job.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely recommend Yebo Beach Haus- South African (Food). My favorite! I would suggest the Butternut Squash or Lentil Soup! The Salt Factory is my favorite place to grab a Vegan Burger, Pure Taqueria for tacos and margaritas with friends. If you want to enjoy some bowling and games- Punch Bowl Social in The Battery- nice area to explore and take pictures. Kennesaw Mountain is great for those to see a historical, landmark. Bring the dogs and hike. If your looking to enjoy nightlife: Tongue and Groove or Red Martini. Atlanta always has Art Exhibits, and Multiple Cat Cafes for those looking for a more quiet, experience.

Devin Wills. Devin has an incredibly inspiring story, and has been my Number one supporter. His focus on community issues and being a young business owner himself, motivates me to accomplish my goals, and make a greater impact.
