We had the good fortune of connecting with Dameika LaTrice Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dameika LaTrice, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When starting S’MaDa PMC, I wanted to bring something different to the production sets. I wanted everyone on set to be treated just as important as the Artist(s) we are filming. I also wanted my sets to look different from the others. From the set up to the break down, I wanted nothing but professionalism. At the end of the day, I want to see smiles on everyone’s face.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am proud to call S’MaDa PMC mine because we strive to make everyone feel needed and special in their own way. I wanted to create a fun and professional set where everyone leaves at wrap with a smile on their face and no stress. Starting this production management company wasn’t easy at all. It takes a lot of heart and leadership. Stepping up and taking charge isn’t easy for as shy, soft spoken person like me so I had to come out of my comfort zone and show my determination through my actions. I had to finally become that dynamic woman that I have always known myself to be and what all my friends and colleagues saw in me. I truly love what I do. Watching a production blossom from start to finish always puts the biggest smile on my face. Having the opportunity to do that same things for others would be a.true blessing!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I always love to have my friends visit. Letting them see what I do and how much I love it always makes them smile. One thing I can say about my friends, they are true supporters. If we wanted to just go out for a little fun, I would definitely go by Cascade Skate because skating is one thing we all love together. Followed by a night on the town. I love to go to a lot of networking type events because I love meeting new creatives and being able to collaborate on new ideas. I have silly and goofy friends so we love to just hang out and laugh. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I first want to dedicate this shoutout to my family Danny, Dawna, DJ, Dayna, Dayshawn, and Terrique.. Without their support, I do not know where I’d be. To my film brothers and sisters, Digiglobal Media Group, 730 Vision, Goodlook Promotional Facilities, 11Twenty2Productions, Chaelle Visuals, Class Clown Films and Kindhip Works, I have learned so much through you all. Thank you! I would not be this awesome person without you all!!!
