Meet Daija Bastian | Founder of RawPwrr

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daija Bastian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daija, how do you think about risk?
I believe risk are meant to be taken, without risk there is no reward. Taking risk has played a major part in my personal development and the growth of my company. If I wouldn’t have taken the risk of quitting my job back in July, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
RawPwrr is an innovative Fashion house, built on the core values of Quality, Transparency, and Customer service. A world where the hottest trends and timeless styles collide to create an unmatched selection of apparel and accessories. I’m proud of the growth RawPwrr has experienced within this past year, and I’m super excited for our upcoming Spring/Summer Collection to launch. Hard work, patience and dedication is what took RawPwrr to the next level, it wasn’t easy developing a brand that’s built to last but it definitely can be done. On this journey I have experienced a lot of bumps in the road but I’ve learned overtime that anything worth having is worth fighting for, sometimes when things don’t go as planned I go back to the drawing board to figure out a way to make it work for the best interest of the brand. I want the world to know that RawPwrr is going to be one of the biggest fashion brands out & we’re only getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I’m not from Atlanta but love to visit I got some help with this. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe it all to my tribe, without them I’m not sure where I would be. Whether it’s words of encouragement, a helping hand or even a simple hug these people are always there when I need them most. Words can’t express how thankful I am for having a group of individuals that always have my best interest at heart, It’s such a blessing.
